Every box is properly labeled by room and contents, so your movers and your family always know what’s inside and where it belongs in your new home.
Full packing is the right choice for clients who are short on time, who don’t want the physical demands of packing, or who simply want the peace of mind that comes with knowing every item in their home has been packed by a professional. It’s also the preferred option for long-distance moves, where proper packing is especially critical to protecting your belongings in transit.
Partial Packing Services

Step 1: Consultation and Assessment
Every packing job starts with a conversation. Before your move date, we’ll discuss the size of your home, the nature of your belongings, any items of particular concern, and your timeline. For larger homes or complex moves, we may schedule a walkthrough so we can give you an accurate estimate and bring exactly the right crew and supplies on moving day.
Step 2: Supplying the Right Materials
Professional packing requires professional materials. Our crews arrive with high-quality corrugated boxes in a range of sizes, double-walled boxes for heavy items, wardrobe boxes for hanging clothing, mirror and picture boxes, dish pack barrels, packing paper, bubble wrap, foam padding, stretch wrap, and custom crating when needed. We don’t cut corners on supplies, and know the right materials are the foundation of a safe pack.
Step 3: Systematic Room-by-Room Packing
Our crews work methodically, packing one room at a time to keep things organized and traceable. Every box is packed to the appropriate weight limit (heavy items at the bottom, lighter items on top) and filled completely to prevent shifting during transport. Each box is clearly labeled with its destination room and a general description of its contents.
Step 4: Special Handling for Specialty Items
Certain items require their own approach. Flat-screen televisions get custom foam inserts and television boxes. Artwork and mirrors are corner-protected, wrapped, and boxed individually. China and glassware are cell-packed or individually wrapped in packing paper and placed in dish barrel boxes with cushioning on every layer. Electronics are disassembled where appropriate and packed with their accessories. Furniture that is being moved (rather than packed in boxes) is wrapped in furniture pads and stretch wrap.
Step 5: Inventory and Documentation
We maintain a clear record of what has been packed and where. This makes unpacking dramatically easier and ensures nothing gets lost in the shuffle. Step 6: Loading and Transport

We recommend booking your packing services at the same time you book your move, ideally four to six weeks in advance for a standard residential move. During peak moving season (May through September), availability fills quickly, and booking early ensures you get the date and crew size you need. For smaller packing jobs or fragile-only service, we can often accommodate shorter lead times.
No. When you hire Morse Moving & Storage for packing services, we bring everything: boxes, tape, packing paper, bubble wrap, specialty boxes, and all other materials needed to safely pack your home. The cost of materials is included in your packing service estimate.
You’re welcome to be present, and many clients prefer it, especially if there are items that need special attention or areas of the home that should not be packed. However, it isn’t required. Some clients drop off a key and let us work independently. We’ll communicate with you throughout the day if any questions arise.
There are certain categories of items that movers are not permitted to transport regardless of how they’re packed. These include hazardous materials such as propane tanks, gasoline, paint, and certain chemicals; perishable food items; plants (for long-distance moves); and irreplaceable personal documents.
